Teaching Professor Marilynne Rose has been a major contributor to our nationally ranked undergraduate and graduate Interior Design programs for many years. She is universally admired by colleagues in her department and beyond for her talents as a working designer, and as a knowledgeable and compassionate teacher who has taught almost every course in the Interior’s extensive curriculum. She has given generously of her time to endless service commitments with grace and positive contributions. Until recently, Marilynne maintained an active practice as a designer undertaking numerous residential and commercial assignments. She is certified by both the National Council of Design Qualification and her LEED certification speaks to her knowledge of green building practices. Her professional practice and trainings have kept her up to date with her growing profession and we've greatly valued her knowledge of professional practice which she has shared with generations of students. She represents a wonderful teacher, a talented designer, and an individual of grace, humor and class.
Marilynne has been the faculty advisor for the Interior Design program’s Senior Shows and the Interior's student organization, the Drexel Interiors Group. She coordinated student submissions for the Angelo Donghia Foundation Scholarship, a $30,000 award, that several of our students have won, and has been a mainstay of our successful Council for Interior Design Accreditations. For so many of us, Marilynne Rose is a role model.
